Polyphasic Sleep

Polyphasic Sleep describes a category of sleeping strategies aimed at sleeping more often for a shorter cumulative period of time.

Two popular polyphasic methods are the Uberman Sleeping Schedule and the Dymaxion Sleeping Schedule. The Uberman Sleeping Schedule consists of 6 naps every 24 hour period with each nap around 20 minutes long. The Dymaxion Sleeping Schedule consists of 4 naps each "day" with each nap lasting around 30 minutes.

Apart from having the capability of completely changing an individual's life, polyphasic sleep is inextricably linked to some fascinating philosophical implications. Just think how different life would be if everyone was a polyphasic sleeper!
